About the Coffee

Wild Rose is our newest floral-inspired release, bringing together the elegance of Ethiopian washed coffee with the centuries-old Chinese tea infusion technique known as 窨花 (Yin Hua).

Unlike coffees flavored through extracts or additives, this coffee is infused using "沁香玫瑰" (Qinxiang Rose)—a newly developed edible rose cultivar bred by the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Released in 2024, Qinxiang Rose was specifically developed for its exceptionally rich floral aroma, sweet fragrance, soft petals, and suitability for food processing. Its high aromatic intensity makes it an ideal ingredient for premium teas, pastries, confectionery, and now, specialty coffee.

By combining Ethiopian heirloom coffee with three rounds of traditional rose infusion, Wild Rose captures the delicate perfume of fresh roses while preserving the vibrant clarity and complexity of a washed Yirgacheffe.

Processing

The base coffee begins as a clean washed Ethiopian Heirloom grown between 1900–2100 MASL in Yirgacheffe. After drying, the green coffee undergoes a traditional Chinese infusion process inspired by 窨花 (Yin Hua).

Fresh Qinxiang Rose blossoms are layered together with the coffee, allowing the beans to naturally absorb the floral aroma as the flowers bloom. After each infuse cycle, the flowers are removed and replaced with fresh blossoms. This process is repeated three times, gradually building elegant floral complexity without masking the coffee's origin character.

The result is a coffee that expresses authentic rose aromatics with remarkable clarity, balance, and refinement.

Elegant and intensely floral, with notes of fresh rose petals, rose pastry, mandarin, black tea, and honey-like sweetness. A delicate tea-like body carries vibrant florals into a clean, lingering finish with remarkable clarity.
